As we know , if we want to connect PC to cisco switch we are going to use straight through cable, and between PC and router we are going to use cross over.
Now can adopt that when we have similar devices ( PC and router (mini PC)) ,we use cross over ?
and when we have different devices (PC and switch) we use straight through?
Dose this adoption work for any other router's brand and switch , or it is only for cisco?

That feature is called as Auto MDIX. It is available in many other vendor switches like HP. I doubt if Mdix is supported in Cisco routers though. (Not sure if PC nics do support the same)

My understanding(correct me if I am wrong) to what you said that: MDIX (the X representing crossover),is an Ethernet port that allows using crossover cable.
Now with cisco router you doubted if this feature is available,,,I am right? Then how can the cisco router be connected to another cisco router ? normaly we use crossover.
