Two Questions:
1. Does anyone know if when I perform a soft reset on the Cisco XPS-2200 it will disrupt network communications or disrupt power to connected switches, other network devices, etc., that are connected to the XPS-2200? In other words, can I "just do it" with no harm done? It doesn't say in the manual, link below. See section called "Reset Button".
2. Do the power ports in the back of the unit DIRECTLY support the fan modules in the front? Example: currently we have cables coming out of only power ports 4 and 5 in the back of the unit and only the middle Fan Module 2 in the front is operating. The other two, Fan Modules 1 and 3, are orange/amber and are not operating. I just replaced the two "bad" fan modules today and the new ones still have solid amber lights. Is there a correlation between power ports 4 and 5 and the fact that only Fan Module 2 in the middle is working (green light), being that both back and front are situated in the middle? The idea being, Fan Modules 1 and 3 are not working but the corresponding power ports in the back are not in use, so I wonder if there's a connection. Sounds a bit flukey, I know, but am thinking outside the box.
NOTE: The SYS and FAN LEDs are both solid amber as well.
