Hi,
I was just looking to clear all of the current spanning-tree counters after making some changes. I have used the command "clear spanning-tree counters" however this only seemed to clear the interfaces stats such as number of BPDUs sent and received. I am wanting to clear the Topology Change counters mainly. Is there a way of doing this easily?
Thanks

To clear the interface counters, use the clear counters command. Still it is not clear the topology change counters then there are only two ways to clear that counter in IOS. That could be either reload the whole switch or shut down and enable the STP to clear the counters on.

Hi,
Thanks for that. I had already tried the "clear counters" command as well. I can't find another way myself (other than as you say a reload etc). Nevermind!
Thanks for your help

Is there a solution to Mike's problem, other than reloading the switch? I would really like to clear the topology change counters.
thanks!
