Client Switch with a higher Revision No.

What will happen if we add a client switch in a VTP domain which has a higher Revision No. than all the Server switches in the VTP domain?

He will override the vlan.dat on the server because he has a higher revision number.

Hi,

your VTP domain will be updated according to the VLAN database content of the new client with the higher rev. number.

This feature is called "VTP bomb" sometimes.
