Need help with configuration of Catalyst 6509.

I need to be able to format 512 memory. Having problems with the NVRAM.

This is the error message I receive when I boot the switch up:

rommon 1 > boot
Loading image, please wait ...

loadprog: bad file magic number: 0x0
 boot: cannot load "bootflash:"
 rommon 2 > boot disk0
 System Bootstrap, Version 8.1(3)

Can't load IOS: s72033-advipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-33.SXJ3.bin

Any help would be appreciated.

This is due to a bad IOS file.

share me the below from rommon

dev

The above will list the flash systems in the box.

Once you see them check you have a valid ios in any one of them. For example

dir sup-bootdisk:

If the above shows the ios

boot sup-bootdisk:<IOS file>

If any of these is not helping, Try to copy the same IOS to another flash card(use a card from any other switch ) and boot it.

Thanks for your help:

Here is contents of dev:

How can I copy IOS to flash card?

Answer:- Remove the card from this sup, Insert it on any other Sup module if you have and format once and then copy the image from bootflash to the disk0.

ex:- sw#copy bootflash;<image file> disk0:
