Folks,
Have a customer, they did an upgrade and basically, their ghosting application is working either very slowly or intermittently. Now, I know it is a multicast issue, as all other traffic is fine.
The scenario is simply, a server and all workstations are on the same VLAN, Server is in the server room connected to a 4500, off one port is a 2950 in a room on another floor where they are staging the PC's.
Symptom is slow or erratic behaviour. Multicast has not been tweaked in the Core 4500.
What needs to be set on the core switch?.
Any feed back would be appreciated.
Regards.

Hi
If it is all contained within the same vlan then on 4500 you need to
1) enable IGMP snooping
2) Make the 4500 an IGMP querier.
