Hi Gopinath,
thanks for your response
so we need to disabled the VTP mode on core side and enable gvrp on both corr ans access swith side right ?
My configuration in core side is
switch port trunk allowed vlan all
switchport mode trunk
samein access switch switch uplink
interface vlan 1 enable gvrp

Our core is c9300 that doesnt allow fro gvrp . So vtp on core side and gvrp on access side will work ?

Hi ziyadps,
No....it doesn't work....GVRP concept is totally different compare with VTP.
Best regards

Hi @ziyadps ,
Although I'm not an expert to provide you with an accurate solution, I have thoroughly reviewed the Cisco data sheets and understand that the access switch SGS-350 does not support VTP, and the Core switch Catalyst 9300 does not support the GVRP protocol. If you're planning to synchronize VLAN data between both switches, here's a suggested approach:
For automation, you might find Ansible playbooks or Python scripts helpful in streamlining the VLAN configuration process. I came across a reference for automating network VLAN deployments with Ansible that you might find useful: Automating Network VLAN Deployments with Ansible (skyenet.tech)
Thank you.

I would agree on this , i would do the same thing.
How many vlans are you looking to forward over to this switch ?
03-20-2024 07:31 AM
3 vlan
should i up vlan manually on access switch ?
ex:
configer termina
vlan 10
vlan 20
vlan 30

Yes i would do it manually on the the switch n thats it. Only if you add a vlan on the core in the future , you may need to add it to the access switch.

To understand more
already vlan configured in core but after enablinf trunk also access switch not receiving vlan
so if i configure access switch uplink trunk mode and with out changing vlan in core if i configure vlan interface in access switch manually what will be the impact?

Yes. Create VLANs and Trunk link accordingly on access switch.
