Connecting Cisco switch with 3rd party switch via fibre trunk

Hi All

can anyone assist with the following

I am trying to connect a Cisco 250 series switch to an industrial DLink switch DIS-200G-12PS

via a fibre trunk link using Chimera GBics 10G Sfp interfaces

If I connect both switches using a copper link it works fine.

I have proven the LC patch lead

I have proven the GBics

I can see the GBic in system status though fibre link is down

it looks as though there’s a protocol problem or handshake issue but I’m guessing

any assistance greatly appreciated

          - Check the  logs on both platforms, when trying to establish the link.

Hello

The fibre sfps need to be compatible to the fibre you are using and between each other, be it

Short hual (SX) or Long haul (LX), Multimode (MM) or Sinlge mode (SM) sfps

Thanks for reply
I’ve since checked the spec of both switches and found the Dlink switch sfp port is 1000M while the Cisco switch ports are SFP+ so think this is probably my issue
