Connecting two physical routers through serial connection

How would I connect 2 physical routers (2811 & 2911) via their serial interface? I have 2 ooooooooold paradyne CSU/DSUs, but when showing "show controllers s0/0/0" both are listed as DTE and therefore neither router will take the "clock rate <clock rate>" command. What is an alternate way to connect these devices? My serial cards are a wic-1t and a wic-2t.

How do you physically connect these card interfaces?

Hi,

To connect 2 router back to back via serial cable should be one end DCE (female) and 2nd end DTE (male).

It's not possible to connect 2 router via serial cable & both end DTE.

Either you are checking wrong interface or b/w 2 DTE cable there will be some DCE device who is responsible to configure clock.

Thanks & Best regards.
