Connecting two switches

Question about connecting two switches.

I have a port of my data center switch connected to my patch panel - with a connection going to another room to a wall jack - from the jack, plugged into another switch on port 48.. This will work via straight through cabling correct, I don't need cross over since its not switch to switch right?

Well when I run a cdp ne I can see connection port 7/19 (switch port on data center switch) to fas1/0/48 (switch in other room).

However, I can't get out on the internet.

I have both switchports set to:

switchport access vlan xxx

switchport mode access

Any suggestions? Capture.PNG

You have connected to Switch to Switch connection.

You have not given information, from which was not reached to internet, what device trying to go to internet, what port it was connected. what is the IP address ?

where is your Internet breakout connected ?

provide configuration if possible.

Depends on the model of the switch (whether or not they support MDI/MDI-X) or the configuration of the ports (if MDI/MDI-X is disabled in the port configuration or not).
