Connecting Ubiquiti access point to sg200-26 switch using vlan.

Hello there,

I set a vlan on an Ubiquiti access point and my router. The vlan and the connection works fine when I connect them directly or with any unmanaged switch. But when I connect the access point to the router via sg200 switch the vlan and the connection doesn't work.

It's the first time using a vlan on a device connected to sg200 switch. I know the switch has it's own vlan configuration but can't I do it like unmanaged switch ? Is there a configuration I need to do on sg200 for such a simple connection ?

Thank you.

Hi,

Have never used that switch model before but assuming it is like any other Cisco switch, make sure the ports are not shut down and are in default vlan (vlan1). That should work as an unmanaged switch for you.

I'm sure they are not shut down I was able to ping the access point from laptop which is connected to the same switch!
