Hi Guys

I have Cisco core switch 4503 E and ASA 5525. All the interfaces of the switch and the ASA are gigabit Ethernet. the interface i used to connect the two devices is also gigabit Ethernet but it is not working unless i specifically configure the speed 100. Can you please help me on this?

there is number of reasons :

1. how far is the Switch and ASA ?

2. what kind of cable is this ? Cat 5 / 6 / e ?

3. if possible post the both the side interface configuraiton, show interface output to understand the issue.

Confirmt that you have the security license on the ASA's that enables the 1 Gbps, that probaably justifies what you only can bring thaat up to 100 mbps.
