Continuous reload after IOS upgrade

Hi,

I'm having a weird situation with a Cat4948 and a IOS upgrade I'm trying to do: after reloading, passing all of the hw tests and presenting the auth prompt, it reboots itself. I had to cancel the boot, enter rommon and issue a boot command to start from the old IOS image I have been using till today.

I've checked the minimum ROMMON version and Cisco docs says that for a 4948 is 12.2(20r)EW. Mine is 12.2(20r)EW1, so it should work. Confreg is 0x2102, as well. So I think this is a bug, maybe related to the rommon version, but I'm not sure.

Am I missing something here? Another upgrades didn't issue any problem so far.

Hello,

If as you said, the problem only occurs after the IOS upgrade, probably that's a bug indeed.

I suggest you open a TAC case.

Bruno Silva.
