I have a cisco 3560 switch PoE, with cisco wireless access points connected to it. I got 9 access points out of 24 go off. I got the following log for all off ports.
3w6d: %ILPOWER-3-CONTROLLER_PORT_ERR: Controller port error, Interface Gi1/0/32: Power given, but Power Controller does not report Power Good
Show power inline command output is below.
Interface Admin Oper Power Device Class Max
(Watts)
--------- ------ ---------- ------- ------------------- ----- ----
Gi1/0/32 auto off 0.0 n/a n/a 30.0
I reset the port by shut & noshut.
Reset the power by pow inline never & pow inline auto.
But link is still down.
What can I do next?

2. Wait for approximately 5 to 7 seconds;
3. Command: sh cable tdr interface Gi1/0/32; and
4. Post the complete output to #3.

Hi Leo
Thank you.
Did the test. following are the results of all off ports. Suspecting cable faults and will arrange the cable inspection.
Interface Speed Local pair Pair length Remote pair Pair status

Gi1/0/22 auto Pair A N/A N/A Normal
Pair B N/A N/A Normal
Pair C 1 +/- 10 meters N/A Open

Sanjee,
The cable fault is nearest the switch. Check the patch cable connected to port Gi1/0/22 first.

What platform is this?

I had the same problem. Had a fibre converter with ethernet cable plugged into port.
Replaced the power supply on fibre converter and everything worked fine. I suspect when fibre converter
power supply blew it tried to get power from the switch.
