Copied configuration, what next

I'm trying to add a new Catalyst c3550 series switch to our stack. I'm a newbie and I'm sure how the network is setup, so to save myself the stress of having to figure out how to configure the switch, I copied the configuration of one the working switches to the new one. The problem is, it doesn't work. I can't connect to the internal network (which is on a Vlan). Does anyone have any ideas what I should do next?

copying the config is good...but you just cant copy everything.

you will need a new IP address and also better to have a new hostname.

and also if you have set up vlans (other than default) you will have to set those up accordingly.
