Hello
Wondering if it is possible to use a Nexus 9K switch as a tftp server to load firmware onto a cat 2960x switch?
In other words, can I push the .binary file to the Nexus 9K then from the Nexus 9K use it as a tftp server to push that .binary fil to a 2960x switch?
WinSCP > Nexus 9K > 2960x in that order.
Thank you

Hi,
Have a look at this link. The Nexus can be configured as SFTP or SCP but not TFTP.

I'll check it out. So there would be no issue with putting 2960x firmware onto a Nexus to then push it to a 2960x firmware?

For whatever reason I could not get scp to work on the 2960L to pull the firmware from the Nexus, but I was able to with sftp...interesting.
Thanks for the tip

Glad SFTP worked for you!

you use tftp not USB because of distance ?

That is correct. The Nexus and 2960x and 2960L are in a COLO 100 miles away.
