Our company ordered two cisco core switches VS-6513E-SUP2T description shows catalyst chassis+fan+sup2t,ip service only including vss

The item came and I found a mistake ,instead of ordering ipservice  ios  which was free ,he had clicked s2tibk9-15001sy  description

cisco cat6000-vs-s2t ios ip base full encrypt. and  it came with switch

But we need ip service

it has to connect to 12 distribution

Is it possible to update to ip service by downloading

Hi,

The IOS for the 6500 series is not licensed based.  You would need to talk to you sales person, if you have already paid for IP Services, than you can simply download it and install it. You would need a CCO account and valid service contract.
