Corrupted startup configuration on Cisco 9200 can't access ROMmon

Having some issues with a brand new Catalyst switch. I tried migrating the config file from my old switch to the Catalyst 9200L; it looked like it worked, until I reloaded the switch. Now, the switch will go through the boot sequence, and then display unreadable gibberish, which leads me to believe that the config file was probably corrupted somehow. Fine, so be it.

The real problem comes in when I try to reset my switch. I can't seem to break the boot process to get into ROMmon. I've tried Break, Ctrl+Break, Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C, nothing seems to work. I've power-cycled while holding the MODE button, as well. I'm not quite to the "percussive maintenance" stage yet, but I'm getting there. Anyone have some pointers for me?

Not sure what config you loaded, is the config has any password disabled commands ?

Turn off the device wait for 1 minute

Follow below guide section : Recovering from a Lost or Forgotten Password

Are you using a USB-to-Serial console?
