Create a VDC on Nexus7009

Hi guys,

I am planning to create a VDC  on Nexus7009 running 7.3.2.D1.3a with N7K-SUP2 / F3 modules.

Just wondering if there is a chance to cause any disruption to the switch operation so that I can determine if this can be done business hours.

The switch currently has single VDC and CPU usage is less than 30%.

Cheers

Hi

It shouldn’t affect anything when creating an additional vdc.
You will also need to attach your interfaces, configure routing,.... Anyways, after creation of the VDC you might need to do other operations that can affect your production and it’s better to do it after hours. The creation itself takes few minutes while it is fully initialized.

Thanks
Francesco

Hi Francesco,

Thank you for your response.

Creating a VDC didn't cause any issues with the switch operation as you advised.

Cheers

Alex
