We have a Tranisition network switch we'd like to setup a trunk to to a cisco switch. The tranistion networks switches uses pvids. I don't fully understand this but think it is the same as the cisco native vlan. I've tried configuring on both ends but can't get the trunk to function.

Hi,
PVID means Port VLAN ID and it is same as native VLAN.

Hi mate,
I'm sure you have tried to configure the trunk link with the IEEE encapsulation standard 802.1Q ?
