I need to connect a few HP Proliant servers and an EqualLogic SAN to SG350XG-24F switches. I would like to use some twinax cables from Axiom. However the cables from Axiom mention compatibility with a specific vendor for each cable SKU. I thought that 10GBase-CU was a standard? Is there such a thing as a generic DAC twinax 10G cable that I can use to connect an HP to Cisco and Dell SAN to Cisco?

The DAC cable is supported for the Cisco switch you are using. See table-1 in the data sheet

Reza,
My concern is the other side of the cable which will be connected to non Cisco hardware. In my case it will be HP servers and EqualLogic SANs. OEMs always try to scare you into thinking only their own branded cable and/or SFP+ xceivers will work but I hope that is not the case.
Do you have any first hand experience using Cisco branded DAC cables to other devices?
