Which legacy DCI solutions allow a VLAN to be extended across geographically separated data centers while containing STP/control plane/ARP traffic to each data center? Looking for legacy DCI, not OTV/TRILL/Fabric Path

Hi,

I had one cutomer uses l2tpv3 pw to extend VLAN, and have VLAN filter to seperate STP/control plane; but it cannot filter ARP. To filter ARP, I think you need a way to proactively advertise host route to the other datacenter. Besides the new technologies you have mentioend, I think E-VPN can do that too.

Hi,

As far as I know, it is true for those technologies too. Neither one provides the feature to filter ARP.
