Dell has this nice web tool that allows one to determine the service start date of a Dell PC using the serial number. Does Cisco off something similar? My site has a mix of start dates (6+ year spread) and it would be helpful to know the ages of my switches. I'm not a Cisco programmer so I can't plug into a device and query it. I do have to provide general IT support, though, and that includes buying them.
Appreciate any insight.
