Hello,
Is it necessary to connect Cisco IE2000's two DC inputs to the same power supply? In spite of not being fully redundant, DC-A and DC-B are powered by separate internal power supplies. It is therefore possible to power DC-A and DC-B from the same external power source... Your response is very kind of you. The power supply consists of two separate units. Switches can be powered by one or two sources. Whenever both power sources are active and the higher voltage power source is on, both draw power from each other. During a power outage, the switch remains powered as long as another power source is available. There should be an independent power supply for each power supply in redundant power systems. Failing to do this may result in a total power outage if there is an electrical fault in the wiring or a circuit breaker trips.
