DHCP Configuration in Switch

Is this right plan to configure DHCP on Switches like 4500 series in a production Environment.

Yes, you can configure DHCP when the switch is in production.

Hi. You could configure DHCP server on your switches but I wouldn't recommend it because it's a very basic DHCP server and it's not scalable

I would recommend to config only the "DHCP relay" feature on your switches so they will forward the DHCP packets to a centralized and dedicated DHCP server.
