Hello,
that's actually valuable information, looks like your flash is almost full. Delete all the crashinfo files:

- How do you define or observer 'losing' the dhcp part of the configuration ? Do you save the config , at all times, when changes are applied ?
M.

Hello
yes i do save the changes to the config file, i mean by losing the dhcp config that when i do show run command i cant find any configuration for DHCP, so i had to reconfigure it again and again. this happen after 1-2 hours.
Thanks
10-22-2020 09:12 AM
- And is it then still present in the startup-config ? Also make sure you are not a victim of malicious counter management activities, by activating configuration change notification and logging :
M.

no Sir the dhcp lines disappears in the startup-config.
10-22-2020 11:11 AM
Hello,
12.4 is ancient (obviously), so it is hard to find any information on why this could be happening. Do you have 'service dhcp' configured globally ?
10-23-2020 12:55 AM
Hi
should i upgrade the IOS?
yes the DHCP configured globally.
Thanks
10-23-2020 01:02 AM
Hello,
the 870 is end of life as of 2012, you won't be able to get an updated IOS version from Cisco. Which raises the question if you might actually have a problem with the router memory. How old is your router ?
10-23-2020 01:14 AM
Sir the model is 877 (800 series) my mistake, we bought it new 3 years ago, and use it without any problems, i just tried to change the configuration, all goes well except the DHCP.
Thanks
