dhcp conflict issue

hi all

currently dhcp is configured so that it has 30 IPs in the pool to be assigned to devices. but during 3 months time, the IPs are being added in conflict database (sh ip dhcp conflict) and a time comes that there are no IPs left to be assigned to devices. I have to clear the conflict database. I cant ping the IPs in the conflict database. a similar device at other site with the same firmware is working without any issue. what steps should i follow to troubleshoot this issue.

Hi

A dhcp conflict is not a normal behavior, you can modify the timeout in order to wait for a ping reply:

ip dhcp ping timeout

The defaul is 500 miliseconds.

Also this link could be useful:
