DHCP Failed ("APIPA is being used")

Hi there

Putting together a packet tracer file for an assignment, at the moment it is just 3 separate LAN's called Manchester, Birmingham and York, and I'm trying to set up DHCP on all 3 sites.

Managed to get it working fine on the Manchester site and have my DCHP server and layer 2 and 3 switch configs for Birmingham done and set up as far as I can tell, but the host PC's can't request an IP, and keeps telling me that APIPA is being used. Not sure what the problem is as I did the configs for Birmingham fine, but I must be missing something.

Can supply PKT file.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Hello,

on the Birmingham network, the DHCP server had the wrong default gateway (it's own IP address), and GIgabitEthernet0/1 had the same IP address as the DHCP server.

Find attached the revised file (saved in Packet Tracer version 8.1).
