DHCP Forwarding

Hello everyone,

Hopefully this is a quick question and fairly simple to answer.

I am running a Cisco 2821 router and I have it as my main DHCP server right now, not how I wanted it but that's a different post of mine that hasn't been answered yet. I want to know if I can either forward my DHCP information to my DNS server or have my DNS server query my DHCP for the info. I am running a Windows 2012 server with AD just not sure how to do it. Not all of my devices running can be connected to the AD but I do want to be able to have them accessible even if their IPs change on the router. Or am I going to have to go way back to when DHCP wasn't around a assign statics to all of my devices?

You'll have to configure the reverse DNS zone in AD to allow non-authenticated DDNS updates.
