Hi all.
Does a Catalyst 3750 support the 249 dhcp option to install a static route for a subnet on a client?
Thanks

Carlo,
You can use DHCP option 33 on 3750 to push a static route for a subnet.
Option 33 will allow you to insert static routes on your DHCP configuration but it will only accept classful networks and it limited to allow only two networks. The way to configure this is:
config t
ip dhcp pool
option 33 ip 172.16.0.0 172.18.18.1 172.17.0.0 172.18.18.1
I hope you find this information useful.

Hello Amit.
Thanks for your prompt answer.
Unfortunately what I need is a classless network and I've seen that rfc 1533 talks about 249 option for classles networks and I thought that I can configure this on a 3750.
My network is based upon more subnets of network 10.0.0.0 and a classfull route would not help me.
Any other tips about this?
Thanks a lot.
Bye

Carlo,
I tried finding some info on Option 249 support on 3750 but couldnt find anything closer. It looks like this is not supported on 3750 as this point of time. I would suggest you to contact TAC or your Local account Cisco SE to findout more info or future support for the same.
