Hello Team,

I have a Cisco ISR4221 router. We have an internet link connected to our cisco router. The IP will be received on the cisco interface from ISP only by configuring dhcp option 60 on my router. It is a customer provided link. Customer provided me the vendor class identifier but i did not receive the IP address via DHCP.

The vendor class customer provided is Vendorclass=neufbox_NB6V

Please let me know if I am missing something

I tried the following commands and it did not work.

int gi0/0/1

ip dhcp client client-id ascii vendorclass neufbox_NB6V

ip address dhcp

Client-ID: cisco-5c5a.c7da.e501-Gi0/0/1 <<- if g0/0/1 port is connect your router to SP, then the router send this ID not what you config,

also what you config for my little info is wrong, you need to use any online
text to ASCII convert and convert exact the ID you receive from SP and convert it to ASCII,
then add ASCII to client-id command line
finally check the debug to see if the ID is send as you want to SP.
