Hi,
We have a setup for the users to have 2 IP subnets on a single VLAN. So the user VLAN is having a secondary IP address.
And the users are getting IPs from a Windows DHCP server. Both the primary and secondary DHCP pool has been configured on the DHCP server. The issue is if we reserve any IP from the secondary IP subnet the device is not getting the reserved IP after a reboot, rather it is getting a new IP from the primary or secondary range whichever is free.
This issue doesn't happen with the primary range.
Vlan config is below:
interface Vlan100
description USER-VLAN
ip address 172.18.32.1 255.255.248.0 secondary
ip address 192.168.32.1 255.255.248.0
ip helper-address 192.170.33.2
So reservation from 172.18.32.0/21 doesn't work. But normal DHCP is working fine.
Does anyone know about this issue and can help regarding this?
Best Rehgards,
Khairul
