DHCP server doesn't provide IP address

                   hi,

a new LAN installation, two VSS pair 6509 core, 15 closets, with 3750 stacks. Floor 15 only, devices/hosts can ping teh DHCP server but cannot aquire IP addresses. no such problem on other floors?

portfast an dother parameters are intact.

your thoughts with be appreciated.

Hi Masood,

Hope you have configured ip helper address on the user vlan L3 interface which refer to the dhcp ip address. A typical configutation would be as below

int vlan 10

ip address 10.10.10.10 255.255.255.0

ip helper-address x.x.x.x      (where x.x.x.x is the ip address of dhcp server)
