Hi,
Can we actually change the timestamp format for switches/routers to include the DAY of the week in front of the the MONTH?
Example:
From: Jan 26 17:40:00 (MM DD HH:MM:SS)
To: Wed Jan 26 17:40:00 (DAY MM DD HH:MM:SS)
Most of the documents does not show it.

What command are you using to display the time?

Hi,
Is it possible to change the timestamp for example using "show logging" command as stated earlier ?
The aim is to capture any timestamp to the log through logging in this example.
Below are the login log capture using a linux device. Is cisco equipment able to capture that way ?
Last login: Wed Jan 26 17:40:00
Last successful login: Wed Jan 26 17:40:25

Hi,
Please check below mention command to change Clock setting on Cisco router verify dose your current running IOS support.
To change the software system clock settings, enter the clock set command in EXEC mode, using one of the following formats.
clock set hh:mm:ss day month year
clock set hh:mm:ss month day year

Mohseen
The clock set command does allow you to change the order of day month year or month day year. But this format change is only for entering the command and does not change how the time is displayed on output.
