Does An SVI on a router (eg an 861) enable Inter-vlan routing by default ?

Hi.

  If I had , lets say , 3 Vlans on the SVI and hosts connected only to the router on each of the vlans , would they be able to communicate or would I have to configure them to allow Inter-Vlan routing?

By default, all SVIs/vlans will communicate with each other on the same router. No need to configure anything else.
