Does Cisco Catalyst 2960 support Netflow?

I need to know if Cisco Switch 2960 support Netflow. If it doesn't, how do I configure the switch to enable Netflow? Your help will be appreciated

The 2960 is a layer-2 device and does not support Netflow.

So there is no way i can enable netflow on my switch 2960? Any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

Hello,

Can you please clarify your goal. Netflow is indeed not possible on 2960, that does not care of any L3 accounting info - it just do pure L2 switching (except mgmt VLAn - but that is limited).

If you want to do netflow - you will need to do that on higher layer - Distribution or Core.

On 2960 you can consider SPAN to catch all traffic on particular port and then check with wireshark e.g.

2960 is a layer 2 switch netflow doesn't operate on it as its L3 feature collector  , it is available on the X and XR series though , never seen it on a standard 2960
