Does IOS Upgrade of Cisco 2921 Router needs License upgrade as well ?

We are using Cisco 2921 Router with IOS of Version 15.0(1)M7.

If I were to upgrade the IOS to the latest Version 15.4(3)M2, do I have to get separate licenses for this upgrade as well or the previous purchased Licenses will work as they were working ?

Cisco CISCO2921/K9

Current Licenses for the Router are as follows:

Technology Package License Information for Module:'c2900'

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Technology    Technology-package           Technology-package
              Current       Type           Next reboot
------------------------------------------------------------------
ipbase        ipbasek9      Permanent      ipbasek9
security      securityk9    Permanent      securityk9
uc            None          None           None
data          None          None           None

That's right, the features stay the same.  If you notice the filename, no longer are features listed (e.g., ipbase, security), but a universal image.

c2900-universalk9-mz.SPA.150-1.M7.bin

c2900-universalk9-mz.SPA.154-3.M2.bin

It's just a code change, not a feature change.

You don't need a new Technology License to upgrade code.  Normally you'd need an active smartnet contract, or if you don't have one and you are upgrading to fix a security vulnerability, TAC will supply you with the new code.

ISR G2 with 15M&T uses a Universal image that includes all features, just depends on technology licenses as to which of those features are unlocked and loaded at boot time.

As I've mentioned that currently our router have ipbasek9 and securityk9 feature enabled on it. We actually paid to get securityk9 feature.

So now changing the IOS with changing it's train from Version 15.0(1)M7 to Version 15.4(3)M will not effect the feature we already have ? right ? Our features will remain the same.
