I'm little confused with SFP requriement for the old and new verison of 3750-24FS switch. Can someone verify my findings below?
WS-C3750-24FS-S (24 built-in MT-RJ FX fiber ports (no SFP here, can someone verify?), two SFP slots for standard SX/LX/ZX uplinks)
WS-C3750v2-24FS-S (24 open FX ports (special SFP required?), two SFP slots for standard SX/LX/ZX uplinks)
We have 20+ old 2924 switches with FX uplinks to an even older 5500 Catalyst. Latter is dying and we would like to have an interim solution to connect the 2924 switches, while waiting for fund to replace the 5500 switch. 3750-24FS seems to fit our need.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Jim,
Your understanding is correct. The old version has built-in FX ports, while the v2 version requires SFP transceivers.
WS-C3750-24FS-S - 24 100BASE-FX ports and 2 SFP-based Gigabit Ethernet ports
WS-C3750V2-24FS-S - 24 Ethernet 100FX SFP ports and 2 SFP Gigabit Ethernet ports
