downgrade 3850 IOS from 16.9.1 to 16.6.7 failed

Hi, folks:

I want to downgrade WS-C3850-24T IOS from 16.9.1 to 16.6.7,but show error message：FAILED: switch local is not booted with provisioning file.

I tried to downgraded 16.9.X to 16.6.7 before, it works, but this time failed.the only one difference is that the previous 3850 was stacked, this time is alone, any idea for you ? I really appreciate your help!

I did this command: request platform software package install switch all file flash:cat3k_caa-universalk9.16.06.07.SPA.bin

Do I need to used the "boot system" change to cat3k_caa-universalk9.16.06.07.SPA.bin ?

Whao ... Someone really messed up the firmware upgrade proceedure.

There is no room to unpack two firmware if there are too many BIN files "crowding" the flash. Delete 16.9.1 file first:

delete /f /r flash:cat3k_caa-universalk9.16.09.01.SPA.bin

And then use this command to unpack 16.6.7:

request platform software package install switch all file flash:cat3k_caa-universalk9.16.06.07.SPA.bin on-reboot new auto-copy verbose

After the file has been unpacked, post the complete output to the command:

more flash:packages.conf | begin for NOVA

Make sure the right-hand column reflects the version you are trying to update to.

Once this is confirmed to be the case, the boot variable statement needs to point to the "packages.conf":

Reload the switch after this.
