Hi all,
I have 2 N7010's in vPC topology running NX-OS 6.0.1 with some N2Ks attahced. I brought up a server today connected it via vPC to 2 FEXs and all seems to be working normally except while I was configuring the vPC I had some users report that they lost connectivity to some servers but able to reconnect after a few minutes. I wouldn't think that bringing up a vPC would cause disruption to the network but the timing is so coincidental. Anyone has any ideas or reason why the issue could be related to what I did ? Below is the vPC config on one of the N7K's. Thanks in advance !!!
interface port-channel14
switchport
switchport access vlan 8
spanning-tree guard root
spanning-tree bpdufilter enable
flowcontrol send on
vpc 14
interface Ethernet113/1/26
description vPC member port
switchport
switchport access vlan 8
spanning-tree port type edge
spanning-tree guard root
channel-group 14 mode active
no shutdown
interface Ethernet113/1/27
description vPC member port

spanning-tree port type edge

Hi,
Your config looks fine. Adding a Portchannel should not effect any other server in production. As you noted, it was probably coincidental.
