Hi Folks

how to trace and fix and troubleshoot  the below output

STANDBY-3-DUPADDR: Duplicate address 192.168.0.23 on Vlan23, sourced by 0000.0c67.dc00

Easy.

1.  First you need to trace one of the two duplicate IP address.

2.  You're given the MAC address.  Therefore use the command "sh mac- add " until you find the port where this client is attached.

3.  Disable the port.

4.  Find the second IP address.  First you need a router or an IP address scanner like AngryIP.

5.  Ping this IP address from a layer 3 device and then use the command "sh ip arp " and it will show you the MAC address and IP address.

6.  Therefore use the command "sh mac- add " until you find the port where this client is attached.
