Dynamic Buffer Limiting

I have done a little bit of research on dbl. From what I read it appears to be a helpful feature for avoiding congestion on switch ports. It is part of the QoS suite, and it appears to drop belligerent packets when they start accumulating. I am having trouble with disconnections, and the TAC engineer suspects that it is due to all of the dropped output packets. He says that could be related to the dbl command, not only on the switch in question, but also on the uplinks as well. If the dbl feature is disabled, will that cause more issues on my network, or will it basically run unnoticed? dbl is supposed to be used for ill configured switches, but if that is the case, and I know my switch is configured okay, , and TAC confirms it, why the drops?

Thank you all for your assistance.
