Hi,

Sorry, in my original response i assumed you were referring to the Catalysts 6500

You can find the difference between the 3900 and 3900-e router on the following link:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/routers/3900-series-integrated-services-routers-isr/data_sheet_c78_553924.html

You router is the E chassis because it has the following as per the doc i have referenced above:

C3900-SPE200/K9

 4 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces

Technology Package License Information for Module:'c3900e'

Thanks

John

Hi,

The -E is the enhanced chassis. It has increased power capacity. You can get more details on 6500 and 6500-e at the following link:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/catalyst-6500-series-switches/prod_bulletin0900aecd8017a5e7.html

You can determine E chassis status using the following command:

show inventory

Thanks
