Hi everybody
We can use distribute list to control which routes are sent out in updates and also which routes received in updates on an interface are denied.
Besides distribute list, do we other alternatives to achieve the same result i.e controlling which routes are sent via updates or denying routes received in the updates in eigrp.
thanks and have a great weekend.

Hi Sarah,
With EIGRP, I see only distribute list and not prefix list is supported. If you are redistributing from static, direct or any other protocols, you can also use a route map and reference it to a prefix-list to limit the IP prefixes you are redistributing:

Hi Reza
How are you? I am back in my routing and switching forum after a while. I got a free class offer for ccna voice so I was taking advantage of it. Now I am back to my ccnptshoot.
Anyway, the book says we can use distribute list which can then refers to access list or ip prefix-list or route map.
It is nice hearing from you.
thanks and have a great weekend.
