i want to know what is the difference between the EMI (Enhanced Multilayer Software ) and SMI (Standard Multilayer Software ) in addition to the EMI support support routing protocol like ospf and eigrp, is there any document show the whole difference between them.

The EMI enables a richer set of enterprise-class features including advanced hardware-based IP unicast and multicast routing, Policy-Based Routing (PBR), and the Web Cache Communication Protocol (WCCP).
The following features and functionality are only supported with the EMI:
? Advanced IP routing protocols for load balancing and constructing scalable LANs:
?OSPF
?IGRP and EIGRP
?BGPv4
? WCCP to allow switch interaction with a cache for the purpose of redirecting content requests to a cache and performing basic load balancing across multiple caches
? PBR to allow specific policies to be implemented by causing selective traffic to take different paths
? PIM for IP multicast routing within a network that enables the network to receive the multicast feed requested and for switches not participating in the multicast to be pruned; support for PIM sparse mode (PIM SX), PIM dense mode (PIM DX), and PIM sparse-dense mode
? Distance Vector Multicast Routing Protocol (DVMRP) tunneling for interconnecting two multicast-enabled networks across non-multicast networks

EMI stands for Enhanced Multilayer Software Image. EMI is Layer 3 capable so it means it will support full ip routing capability. SMI stands for Standard Multilayer Software Image and it does not support full IP routing capability, in other words, it's only layer 2 (just a switch).
Standard multilayer image (SMI), which provides Layer 2+ features (enterprise-class
intelligent services). These features include access control lists (ACLs), quality of
service (QoS), static routing, and the Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP) and the Routing
Information Protocol (RIP). Switches with the SMI installed can be upgraded to the EMI.
?Enhanced multilayer image (EMI), which provides a richer set of enterprise-class
intelligent services. It includes all SMI features plus full Layer 3 routing (IP unicast
routing, IP multicast routing, and fallback bridging). To distinguish it from the Layer 2+
static routing and RIP, the EMI includes protocols such as the Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) and the Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) Protocol.
For IPv6 capability, the switch must be running the advanced IP services image. You can
order this image upgrade from Cisco. The advanced IP services image includes all EMI
features plus IPv6 host and unicast routing support
