Enabling EIGRP NSF

I have one quick question that hopefully someone can answer.  Is it disruptive to enable NSF in EIGRP.  I want to configure this in an environment with 6509 VSS clusters and would like to ensure that it is not disruptive to enable.    All EIGRP neighbors are NSF aware.  I just want to ensure it does not bounce EIGRP or something when it is configured initially.

Heather,

NSF in EIGRP can be turned on in production, It doesn't reset the peering with the neighbors.

If I was to do in BGP, I would do it in downtime as NSF for BGP is advertised as a capability so if you configure NSF on a PE you will have to re-establish the session with the peers to exchange the capability.

For EIGRP, you shouldn't worry.

Thank you very much Amit.  It is only in EIGRP that I need to do this and could not find any documentation that stated this either way.  I enabled this with no issue on the 4 switches I wanted this enabled on with no disruptions.

Also want to know should i also enable NSF in all EIGRP neighbors as well.

Just want to know how it went with you. Was it smooth .. any timeout did you noticed while enabling NSF.

Did you enable NSF in 6509 VSS only or in EIGRP neighbors as well.

My eigrp neighbors are User distribution switches (3560E-12SD-E).

So just want to know that enabling NSF in core switch (6513) will not cause any service interruption for the networks which is advertise in EIGRP . I also have redistribute static routes in core switch EIGRP.

I honestly do not remember.  This was over 3 years ago, I don't even remember what customer it was for.  Based on my initial query I would guess I was only enabling it in the VSS switches as I stated the neighbors were NSF-aware.  But it is just a guess.
