  - @thait01                         I can't see a specific error ; it seems that this is not the complete boot process :
                                           provide the rest too ,

My Cisco 2960-X-24TS-LL device gets stuck at the POST stage showing “PortASIC Port Loopback Tests: Begin” and does not continue. I have waited for 20 minutes, but there has been no further progress. Could this be a hardware issue?

  - @dat1              Execute a full power cycle on the switch ; if the issue remains try a factory reset. If nothing helps
then it is a hardware issue and the device needs to be replaced    (RMA)

There is no error shown in the log you provided. Your switch is actually performing a healthy Power-On Self-Test (POST).

Give it another 4-5 minutes, Look for a line that says POST, PortASIC Port Loopback Tests : End, Status Passed.

If it stops moving for more than 10 minutes at this specific line, you likely have a hardware failure on the ASIC

z7639967400160_1cf52f2ff8023c96e31bf22e2a5f18b4.jpgIt stops completely at the line POST: PortASIC Port Loopback Tests : Begin and does not continue. Is this a hardware issue?

Yes, it is hardware failure, As a last resort, It is recommended to try power cycle and Mode button reset:

The Power Cycle: Unplug it for 30 seconds and plug it back in. If it sticks at the same spot, the chip is fried.

Mode Button Reset: Hold the Mode button while powering on to enter switch: prompt. If you can get there, you might try to initialize the flash, but this rarely fixes an ASIC loopback hang.

If both didn't help, Yes, that indicates hardwaer failure. Since the 2960X series is largely End-of-Life, this usually indicates a permanent component failure on the motherboard and device needs to be replaced.

I followed your instructions by unplugging the power and plugging it back in, but the device still stops at “PortASIC Port Loopback Tests: Begin.” I also pressed and held the MODE button, but the system did not enter “switch:” and remained stuck at “PortASIC Port Loopback Tests: Begin.” This is a hardware issue, right? Could you please help confirm?

Yes, Hardware issue/Failure..!

Thank you for confirming. Have a nice day.

Remove the lid.

Remove the motherboard and look under the motherboard.  Is there a tiny "daughterboard" hanging from the motherboard?
