error loading ios on c3750g switch-any help?

I have a few of these switch that were ios wiped for security reasons and I am re-loading the 1st unit

not sure what the problem is, I am a noob but thinking either the ios I downloaded got corrupted or was corrupted when transferring over via xmodem, or the bootloader needs some kind of update? or maybe I have the wrong ios?

exact model is: ws-c3750g-48ts-s v04

here is the specific issue, I realize it is still initially looking for the original ios but that does not matter as it will skip right to the new ios and should continue to boot but it does not and errors out.

switch: boot

"or maybe I have the wrong ios?"

Looks to me that's the issue.  You're trying to load an 3750E IOS on a 3750G model.  (NB: I recall, the 3750 and 3750G share an IOS as does the 3750E and 3750X.)

The IOS file is for a 3750E/X.

There are two "dead giveaways":  Firstly, the prefix said so.  Next, the "universal" in the middle.

when I look under 3750 it only shows the 3750v2 line, I can't find a link for any that say "3750g", but now looking at the release notes under the 3750v2 it does mention a few 3750g models

3750/3750G/3750v2 IOS files are the same.
