Who have an idea about this message please in Cisco SW cat 6509 IOS:
" Multiple neighbors detected on Te8/6: new neighbors(sys-mac-id: 00e5:ddb9:6d00, port: 0x2), old neighbor(sys-mac-id: 0ca4.0238.bc01, port: 0x8885) "

what is this port connected to ? what version of code this running ? is this VSS ?

Hi,
If you are running LACP, your issue may be the same as the one mentioned in this link, however, this bug is for the 4500 with sup-8.
Either way, not sure what version you are running, but you may need to upgrade to a different version of IOS.

it's a VSS and the version is 15.1(2)SY12
and connected to : "Transceiver Te8/6", DESCR: "X2 Transceiver 10Gbase-SR Te8/6"

Hi,

The bug should have been fixed in 15.1(x) for 40Gig modules. Yours is a 10Gig X2 module. I think an upgrade to a later version than 15.1(2)SY12 should fix the problem.
15.5.1-SY7 is the suggested version by Cisco for sup-2t

what is that connected to that port ? as i have suggested uplift version of code and test.
