Error when two HWIC-4ESW modules are installed on the Cisco 2911/K9

Hello

I was using one HWIC-4ESW module on Cisco 2911/K9.

But I didn't have enough ports, so I added HWIC-4ESW.

And HWIC-4ESW showed abnormal movement.

Both Interface and protocol came up, but the ping was not performed.

What I checked was;

1. The ping went well when I connected it to the HWIC-4ESW that I added.

2. I removed the HWIC-4ESW that I added, and the existing HWIC-4ESW ping went well.

Can't I use two HWIC-4ESWs on the Cisco 2911/K9?

Thanks.

Hello,

as far as I recall (and I might be wrong, as these are rather old devices) two of the HWIC-4ESW do work, but there is no backplane connecting them, so you have to connect both modules with a (crossover) cable.

Hello

Error messages are not checked when installing HWIC-4ESW.

When I check show interface fa0/3/0, it all looks normal.

However, there is no icmp communication with other routers connected to interface fa0/3/0.

The ip setting is normal.

I'm not sure what you mean.

I'm going to leave the part in question as a picture.

Hi, @Georg Pauwen

Is it right to set the information you told me as below?
